Amazon Luna to Remove Third-Party Game Purchases in June

Amazon Luna announced it will discontinue support for third-party game purchases and subscriptions effective June 10, 2026. The cloud gaming service is removing integration with EA, Ubisoft, and GOG third-party stores. Players who previously purchased games through Luna will retain access to their titles through the respective publisher platforms using their linked accounts. Subscriptions to Ubisoft Plus and Jackbox Games purchased via Luna will be canceled at the end of billing cycles. The change represents a strategic narrowing of Amazon's cloud gaming offering, which launched as a broader marketplace for game purchases alongside its subscription-based library. Amazon did not disclose the rationale behind the decision. The move leaves Luna focused on its channel-based subscription model rather than acting as a direct storefront for individual game sales.
