The Warp Agent CLI

Introducing the Warp Agent CLI: a CLI coding agent that does what others can't Image: Primary
Warp announced the launch of the Warp Agent CLI, a new standalone command-line interface that lets developers use the Warp Agent in terminals including Ghostty, iTerm 2, VS Code and the built-in Windows and Mac terminals. The company said the CLI is built on Warp's terminal infrastructure, which allows it to multiplex agent sessions natively and unlock capabilities beyond other agents. The agent features built-in model routing with access to frontier and U.S.-hosted open-weight models, plus support for custom model routers. It supports advanced workflows such as multi-agent orchestration and cloud agents, allowing users to hand off work to the cloud and monitor it via the web. The CLI enables persistent sessions that survive directory changes and remote SSH connections without remote binary installation. It also allows the agent to drive full-screen interactive applications such as sqlite, mysql, gdb and htop, and includes automatic shell command detection and tab completions. Installation is available via a curl script for Mac and Linux or a PowerShell command for Windows. Users can purchase a Warp subscription starting at $18 a month for $20 of inference, buy ad hoc credits starting at $10, or provide their own API key or OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
