Apple plans external AI agent access to Keynote, Pages and Numbers

Apple plans external AI agent access to Keynote, Pages and Numbers Image: Primary
Apple announced November updates to Creator Studio that will let external AI agents read content, edit documents and execute automated actions in Keynote, Pages and Numbers through Model Context Protocol support. The updates will be free for existing subscribers. The three apps will also gain beta assistants built on Apple models and OpenAI that use document context to help with slides, writing and spreadsheets. Keynote will add an open JSON-based interchange format readable by external tools and AI agents. MCP support requires macOS 27 or later. The assistants require Apple Intelligence-capable devices running iOS 27, iPadOS 27 or macOS 27 or later, and will be available only in U.S. English.
