Xynova commissions Hangzhou plant for robotic hands
Image: Primary Robotics supplier Xynova says it has commissioned a 5,400-square-meter manufacturing facility in Hangzhou to fill orders for its dexterous robotic hands. The company makes key parts, including motors and controls, in-house and offers two hands aimed at different uses.
Flex 2, unveiled in June, has 23 degrees of freedom, or independently controlled movements, and is designed for industrial and consumer applications. Prima 1, introduced in August, has 22 and is aimed at research, data collection and training. Xynova says it has secured substantial orders, but gives no order count.
