MongoDB makes live Atlas queries available in Microsoft 365 Copilot

MongoDB makes live Atlas queries available in Microsoft 365 Copilot Image: Primary
MongoDB has made a connector generally available that lets Microsoft 365 Copilot query live Atlas database records, the company announced. It supports experiences including Copilot Chat, Word, Excel and Teams, allowing users to retrieve and summarize operational data without writing database queries. The connector uses MongoDB's managed remote Model Context Protocol server to query Atlas directly rather than index a copy in Microsoft 365. An administrator must enable it, and each query uses the signed-in user's existing Atlas permissions. Access is read-only, and administrators can audit connector activity in Microsoft Purview.
