Arm shares drop 10% as revenue outlook narrowly exceeds forecasts

Arm shares drop 10% as revenue outlook narrowly exceeds forecasts Image: Primary
Arm shares fell 10% to $172.01 on Thursday after its revenue outlook narrowly exceeded analysts' forecasts, Yahoo Finance reported. The semiconductor technology company forecast third-quarter revenue of $1.49 billion to $1.59 billion, with a midpoint of $1.54 billion against a $1.53 billion consensus. Second-quarter revenue rose 27% to $1.44 billion. License and other revenue increased 50% to $773 million, while royalty revenue rose 8% to $670 million. Higher royalty rates and increased data-center deployment supported royalties, but memory pricing's impact on smartphones partly offset those gains.
