Yandex says drone attack disabled modules at Kaluga data center

Yandex says drone attack disabled modules at Kaluga data center Image: Primary
A drone attack disabled several modules at Yandex's Kaluga data center, TASS reported on October 9, citing the company. The facility supports Yandex's internal services and was built to expand Yandex Cloud, including its fourth availability zone. Located in the Grabtsevo industrial park, the site entered operation in the second half of 2023 and was designed as Yandex's largest Russian data center. Its planned power capacity is 63 megawatts, with room for more than 3,800 server racks. Those figures describe the facility's planned capacity, rather than the capacity lost in the attack.
