Mexican financial technology company Kapital secured $130M in equity and debt financing and separately acquired US-based AI firm Woz Code for $30M, Techloy reported. The financing brings Kapital's valuation to $2B as it expands its banking operations using AI. Kapital plans to strengthen its AI platform, expand financial services and support operations across its markets with the funding. The Woz Code acquisition is expected to add engineering expertise and AI development capabilities to its technology infrastructure. The acquisition is a separate transaction and is excluded from the $130M financing total.
