Besso secures €4.29 million to expand trade regulation platform

Besso secures €4.29 million to expand trade regulation platform Image: Primary
Bern-based Besso has secured €4.29 million (CHF 4 million) from a single European family office to expand its AI platform for managing international trade regulations. The company plans to increase headcount, serve more multinational customers and invest in product development and research. Its platform monitors over 1,250 trade regulations and tariff schedules, identifying opportunities to reduce duties through preferential rates and free trade agreement eligibility. Customers include Danone, Unilever, BASF and Coca-Cola. The investor chose to remain anonymous; Besso says relying on one long-term backer was deliberate.
