Deepgram announces acquisition of Daily, maker of Pipecat Image: Primary
Deepgram said it is acquiring Daily, which makes and maintains Pipecat, an open-source framework that coordinates real-time voice and video streams with speech recognition, language models and speech generation. The companies did not disclose the deal amount and said Pipecat would remain open-source. Daily also provides hosted infrastructure for voice and video calls. Deepgram is launching the Real-Time Context Standard, an open protocol developed with the Pipecat team. It defines audio context, such as whispering, instructions for how a language model can use those signals, and guidance on how responses should sound.
