IonQ reports generative method for quantum optimization circuits

IonQ reported progress on a generative machine-learning method for producing quantum optimization circuits, developed with NVIDIA, Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the University of Tennessee. The report says generation time remained roughly constant as tested problem sizes increased. It frames the work as addressing the classical setup cost of preparing optimization problems for quantum machines.
