OpenAI withdraws three math manuscripts after proof error

OpenAI says it has withdrawn three mathematics manuscripts after a sign error invalidated an argument in "Algebraicity of Weil classes on split abelian eightfolds" and the construction used by two dependent papers. The other withdrawals concern Kuga-Satake correspondences for K3 surfaces and the rational Hodge conjecture for products of K3 surfaces. The company also revised 14 manuscripts with proof repairs, corrected statements, clearer hypotheses and dependencies, and a citation correction. Another 13 manuscripts received reference and version updates. Withdrawal notices explain the gap and link to archived manuscripts; earlier editions of revised papers remain accessible through their version notes.
