Google Cloud makes spend caps generally available with API controls

Google Cloud makes spend caps generally available with API controls Image: Primary
Google Cloud says its budget spend caps are generally available, adding an API, live estimated cost reports and automatic monthly resets. The API lets customers apply, change or remove caps programmatically for eligible services within individual projects. For AI services, caps trigger within minutes using estimated usage costs, which customers can now inspect in Cost Reports. Blocked services can resume automatically at the start of the next month, while a manual override remains available. Caps halt pay-as-you-go and committed-use-discount-covered requests at the threshold, but requests using reserved Provisioned Throughput capacity continue running.
