A 24-year-old Stanford dropout wants to build the next Facebook and raised capital at a $200M valuation cap
Teddy Solomon, a 24-year-old Stanford dropout, said Fizz wants to be like Facebook when it was actually social.
The app, launched in 2021, lets students post anonymously, scroll through a 'for you' feed, and buy and sell items in a marketplace. To help scale Fizz's advertising business, the social startup raised an undisclosed strategic investment from celebrities, creators, and tech executives. Instead of a titled round, it's a SAFE investment with a valuation cap of $200 million.
Fizz declined to share further financial details. The new capital follows the company's $25 million Series B it raised in 2023.
