Xreal has priced its Aura Android XR glasses at $1,279 for 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage, with preorders opening later this month, Mashable reported. A version with 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage costs $1,499. Buyers must put down a $199 priority deposit. The 95-gram glasses connect to a separate device that runs Android XR and doubles as a trackpad and fingerprint scanner. They provide see-through displays with a 70-degree field of view, hand tracking and Bose-branded audio. Xreal says availability will begin before the holidays in the US, Canada, Japan and South Korea, with more markets following next year.
