Squads integrates quantum-resistant signatures into Solana key management

Squads Tests Post-Quantum Signatures on Solana Amid Crypto Security Debate | KuCoin Image: Primary
Squads has integrated Falcon-512, a digital signature scheme designed to resist quantum-computer attacks, into its key management interface. Squads says participants can combine different signing schemes within one multisignature approval structure, allowing migration without requiring every signer to change schemes. In its example, a 2-of-3 approval arrangement with two Falcon-512 signers and one Ed25519 signer would require an attacker compromising the Ed25519 signer to also compromise a Falcon-512 signer. The implementation does not make entire Solana transactions quantum resistant: the transaction fee payer must still provide a native Ed25519 signature. Other post-quantum options remain marked as coming soon.
