AWS adds India-only inference profiles for GPT-5.6 models
Image: Primary Amazon Bedrock now supports GPT-5.6 Terra and Luna through India geographic cross-Region inference profiles, AWS said. Requests submitted through the profiles can route between AWS's Mumbai and Hyderabad regions while AWS says inputs and outputs remain processed within India.
The models accept text and image inputs, produce text, and offer a one-million-token context window. AWS said the profiles expand available capacity without requiring customers to manage capacity in each region, while billing, quotas, CloudWatch and CloudTrail records remain associated with the source region.
