Trezor warns CryptoBilis buyers after suspected wallet implant report

Trezor warns CryptoBilis buyers after suspected wallet implant report Image: Primary
Trezor warned on October 30 that customers who bought any of its wallets supplied by CryptoBilis since March 2026 should move funds to a new wallet with a new recovery phrase. A customer reported finding an extra circuit board in a Safe 5 bought through Tokopedia in August. The reported board reads the wallet's screen and transmits the recovery phrase over a mobile network when plugged in. Trezor has reviewed photos and interviewed the customer but has not examined the device in its laboratory. Restoring the same recovery phrase on another device would not remove the risk. Trezor says no CryptoBilis buyer has reported losing funds to it and offers affected buyers replacements or vouchers.
