OpenAI is rolling out Images 2.6 to ChatGPT and Codex users across web, desktop and mobile apps, The Verge reports. ChatGPT can now create a GIF from a prompt or uploaded photo, then let users adjust playback speed and edit individual frames. Previously, it could not natively generate GIFs in a single step. OpenAI says the update also speeds up image generation in ChatGPT. The company is launching GPT-Image-2.6 Flare and Sunburst through its API for faster and higher-quality image generation.
