OpenAI reportedly cuts fundraising target to approximately $20 billion

OpenAI Image: Primary
OpenAI has reportedly cut its fundraising target from $30 billion to approximately $20 billion as investors reduce allocations, FinanceFeeds reported, citing Financial Times reporting dated October 30. A subsequent Wall Street Journal report put commitments at approximately $11 billion. Those commitments do not represent a confirmed final closing. The new development concerns the capital sought rather than the $1.25 trillion valuation, which was already under discussion. A UAE investor consortium including MGX is expected to be the largest participant. A proposed arrangement could also give OpenAI an option to lease newly developed computing capacity in the region.
