The QuestStack project released a root-access exploit and bootloader for Meta's original Quest headset, according to Ars Technica. The project combines known Android fastboot vulnerabilities into a privilege-escalation chain and lets users complete bootloading through a web interface after connecting the headset to a PC. Ars reported that the process can allow app sideloading and initial setup without a Meta Developer account, mobile app, or Meta service dependence.
