Mara has secured $7 million in pre-seed financing for Spike, a backpack-housed counter-drone system, according to Tom's Hardware. The company says a launcher can hold 48 autonomous Seeker interceptors, whose 250-gram units are intended to engage targets at roughly one mile. Mara says its Spotter unit combines electro-optical and acoustic sensors with an optional W-band radar, and says a European NATO partner has placed an undisclosed paid order for an exercise. It says ground-mounted units are due with customers by the end of 2026.
