A cyberattack has halted construction of the road-and-rail tunnel under the Fehmarn Belt between Denmark and Germany, UA.News reported, citing RMF24 and Danish media. Workers' identification cards stopped functioning, while vessels, cranes and offshore platforms were immobilized at the FLC consortium carrying out the project. The consortium employs around 2,800 people. Investor company Sund & Baelt confirmed it was discussing the situation with the contractor. The 18-kilometer tunnel uses 89 concrete elements transported and connected at sea with digital software. The attacker's identity and the time needed to restore operations have not been established.
