Woodside Energy has stopped early start-up work at its Scarborough gas platform off Western Australia after Greenpeace protesters boarded it, The Next Web reported, citing Bloomberg. Woodside described the response as potentially costly. Greenpeace said two protesters spent Saturday night in hanging tents on the structure and were taken into police custody on Sunday afternoon. Woodside lists Scarborough as 98% complete and on track to ship its first liquefied natural gas cargo in the fourth quarter.
