AWS Transform for .NET adds automatic unit test generation for modernized code

AWS said AWS Transform for .NET can now automatically generate unit tests for the code it modernizes. When enabled, the service targets testable classes in a transformed .NET application, such as business logic and controllers, producing an automated test safety net within the same job that performs the migration. AWS said teams previously had to write test coverage for modernized code by hand. The service assesses an application for testability in parallel with the standard .NET assessment, plans which classes and methods to cover, and generates the corresponding unit test code. Unit test generation is opt-in and supported in the AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio extension in all regions where AWS Transform for .NET is available.
