Australia releases dynamic ice-sheet modeling workflow
Image: Primary ACCESS-NRI released four components of an Ice Sheet and Sea-level System Model workflow to Australian researchers, its first step toward integrating a dynamic ice-sheet model into the ACCESS climate suite. The deployment on NCI's Gadi supercomputer includes the ISSM code, a Python API, an open data pool and query tools. The workflow lets researchers model two-way ice, ocean and atmosphere interactions rather than use static proxies. Work on sea-level fingerprint modeling and a whole-Antarctic configuration remains underway.
