AI-focused law firm Crosby has bid to buy assets of Weil, Gotshal & Manges, including its trademark, brand and unspecified internal data, TechCrunch confirmed. Crosby is separately seeking to hire some of the firm's 1,200 lawyers. Weil Gotshal said this week it was preparing to vote on dissolution after senior departures and a shelved merger. Crosby operates as a law firm using internally developed AI rather than selling software to other firms. Terms of its bid were not disclosed, and the offer has not secured the assets.
