Anthropic says it built an internal version control system and fully migrated its main code repository from Git in five months after developer infrastructure became a bottleneck. The company reported merging around 2,500 code changes per day in May and more than 30,000 per day in September. It attributed the bottleneck to infrastructure built for human rather than agent scale.
