Nvidia's board has announced an independent investigation into reports that CEO Jensen Huang was targeted by a foreign intelligence effort. Independent directors, assisted by outside independent counsel, will oversee the inquiry. The Verge reported that Huang acknowledged a romantic relationship with Megaspeed executive Alice Huang, whom US officials believe supplied information to Beijing. Megaspeed, an Nvidia customer, is separately under Commerce Department investigation over suspected AI chip smuggling to China. Nvidia's board said it has no reason to believe national security or company secrets were compromised. Huang has committed to cooperating with the review.
