SaaStr says agent access estimate reaches $240,000 a year

SaaStr says an estimate puts the annual cost of maintaining its AI revenue agent's current access to software vendors at as much as $240,000. The agent makes 35,000 to 40,000 API calls a day, and SaaStr says vendors are introducing charges for agent access. SaaStr has started tracking usage and cutting unnecessary calls. Its agent proposed mirroring vendor data into a $5 Postgres database to reduce requests. That approach would require synchronization and could leave the mirror out of step with the original records. Individual vendor charges remain uncertain.
