Epic Games has confirmed that its Linux launcher will support SteamOS and Steam Decks, The Verge reports, citing a statement to GamingOnLinux from communications director Jake Jones. SteamOS had not been specifically listed as supported when the launcher was in preview in October. Jones said the launcher remains in preview and that Epic is testing distribution formats, with AppImage downloads due to return this month. The support plan does not establish Fortnite compatibility: Epic previously said Steam Deck lacks features required by its Easy Anti-Cheat v2 solution and that it was discussing support with Valve.
