McKay buys Relativity fiber for New Jersey financial networks

McKay buys Relativity fiber for New Jersey financial networks Image: DCD
McKay Brothers has signed a partnership with Relativity Networks and purchased its ChronoCore hollow core fiber to develop networks initially serving financial market locations in New Jersey. McKay plans to offer dedicated fiber pairs through long-term usage rights, alongside managed connectivity services ranging from 10Gbps to 400Gbps. Hollow core fiber carries light through an air-filled central channel surrounded by glass tubes. Relativity claims its cable enables data to travel roughly 47 percent faster than conventional glass fiber. The technology is intended for performance-critical routes rather than replacing conventional fiber broadly. ChronoCore fiber is produced in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and cabled in Claremont, North Carolina.
