AWS Notify adds managed passcode generation and verification

AWS has added managed one-time passcode verification to Notify, taking over code generation, delivery and verification that customers previously had to build themselves. The service supports delivery by text, voice and now WhatsApp. Developers configure code type, length, validity and permitted attempts, plus message templates for each channel. One API call sends a code and another checks the recipient's response. AWS says the service includes AWS phone numbers without customers setting up numbers or registering with carriers. Notify is available in all commercial AWS Regions where AWS End User Messaging operates.
