Palantir calls on GSA to withdraw draft AI acquisition rule

Palantir called on the General Services Administration to withdraw its draft large language model acquisition rule. Palantir argued the rule is purportedly unlawful and would undermine Trump administration goals if finalized. The company said the rule would prevent it from providing government customers with AI-powered solutions through GSA contracts and would cause agencies to turn to non-GSA contract vehicles. Palantir also stated the rule would violate the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act and burden contractors while undermining procurement consolidation efforts.
