JetBrains unifies agent development tools under Air platform
Image: Primary JetBrains introduced Air, a system connecting coding agents, team workflows and organization-wide controls across its development products. Air in JetBrains IDEs lets developers direct agents and inspect their code, while Air Teams coordinates delivery workflows and Air Governance, formerly JetBrains Central, provides policy enforcement, audit records, spending controls and accountability.
The system uses the Agent Client Protocol to connect third-party agent harnesses as well as JetBrains' Junie agent. JetBrains said some components are available now, but described Air as a rolling series of releases and did not specify availability for every listed product or planned mobile and remote capability.
