WhatsApp adds multi-device passkeys and stronger verification option
Image: Primary Meta announced WhatsApp support for multiple passkeys on a single account, allowing people who use both iOS and Android devices to sign in with passkeys. WhatsApp said more than one billion people already use a passkey to log in. The company also added a full-password option to two-step verification, replacing its previous six-digit PIN option, and said Android users will receive more context for calls from people outside their contacts, including caller origin and shared groups.
