AWS adds agent traces to OpenSearch optimized engine

AWS has added agent traces, including OpenTelemetry traces, to the Amazon OpenSearch Service optimized engine. The change lets operators follow requests or agent sessions and examine related logs in the same service to locate failures and slow steps. The engine preserves the nested structure of prompts, tool calls and other trace data for field-level queries without flattening it during ingestion. Operators can also correct hot-tier data by document ID. AWS says the features are available on OpenSearch 3.7 at no additional charge in twelve listed regions.
