Meta removes India banking-malware ads after warning and inquiry

After an Indian government advisory led to some removals, Reuters found at least 39 similar ads still running; Meta removed those after Reuters asked about them. The apps could access phone information, capture one-time passwords and banking PINs, and transfer money from accounts. Meta did not respond to Reuters' questions, according to the report.
