AWS adds managed traffic shifting for ECS services using VPC Lattice

AWS says Amazon Elastic Container Service now supports managed traffic shifting during deployments for services using VPC Lattice, which connects applications across virtual networks and AWS accounts. Teams can move traffic to a new version all at once, in equal increments or initially through a small percentage of requests. Customers can test new versions before moving production traffic and add validation steps or manual approvals. CloudWatch alarms and the ECS deployment circuit breaker can trigger automatic rollback. The capability covers new and existing services in every AWS Region where VPC Lattice is available.
