Perplexity's Airtel giveaway leaves a larger India user base Image: Primary
Perplexity's free year of Perplexity Pro for Airtel customers produced a larger user base in India even as downloads fell after new redemptions ended, TechCrunch reported. Sensor Tower estimated 14 million monthly active users in July, down from a 22 million peak but more than five times the pre-promotion average. It also estimated India in-app purchase and subscription revenue rose about 60% between February and mid-August compared with the offer period.
