Meta says independent ads feature releases reach production approximately 3.6x faster

Meta says independent ads feature releases reach production approximately 3.6x faster Image: Primary
Meta says its F3 Lightning infrastructure lets comparable features used by advertising models reach production approximately 3.6x faster than its previous F3 system, with no increase in infrastructure compute cost. Each feature can now be compiled, validated, deployed and rolled back independently, replacing a release process in which one faulty definition could block the entire batch. The system preserves shared computation by identifying duplicate operations and arranging them into one execution plan at startup. A shared memory buffer and direct array access reduce serving overhead. The reported speed comparison applies to comparable extraction features, rather than the entire model development process.
