Goodman wins approval for 135MW Sydney data center
Image: DCD New South Wales has granted Goodman Group planning permission for Project Apollo, a 135MW data center at Macquarie Park in northern Sydney. Goodman estimates the project at about AU$1.4 billion and plans eight data halls after demolishing two existing buildings. The facility is planned to use grid power, evaporative cooling, backup diesel generators and lithium-ion batteries. Goodman filed for permission in 2024, and the approval followed a meeting last week.
