Nigeria plans 3,700 telecom-tower deployment beginning in October
Image: DCD Nigeria's government plans to begin deploying about 3,700 telecommunications towers in October under the Nigeria Universal Communication Access Project, according to Communications Minister Bosun Tijani. The planned sites are intended to improve mobile coverage in underserved communities and support connectivity for more than 20 million people. The report says the government previously secured World Bank-led funding for nationwide open-access fiber infrastructure alongside new tower rollouts.
