Minitap alleges Google's Artemis reused its open-source mobile-use code without credit

Minitap published a detailed account alleging that Google's Artemis mobile-automation project reused code from its open-source mobile-use research experiment without attribution. The post says device-connection code and the Hopper agent's instructions matched word for word, and that an earlier package file listing three Minitap developers was replaced with a different author through a force push in August. Minitap says the mobile-use source carries Apache 2.0, whose redistribution terms require preserving copyright and attribution notices and identifying changes. The company says it contacted Google and filed a public issue asking Artemis to acknowledge the derivation and restore credit. Minitap states it has no evidence linking the attribution removal to its unanswered AndroidWorld leaderboard submissions.
