AWS Security Hub adds resource criticality to exposure prioritization

AWS says Security Hub now uses resource criticality to help central security teams prioritize exposures affecting their most business-critical resources. The feature is included with Security Hub Essentials at no additional cost and is always on for all customers. Teams can assign criticality through automation rules that apply to existing inventory and newly discovered resources. Security Hub also infers criticality from resource tags and names without configuration and records the source of each value. Teams can sort, filter and group resources by criticality and see it in an exposure finding's impact assessment.
