Meta reportedly spends hundreds of millions on Azure AI models

Meta is spending hundreds of millions of dollars a year on access to AI models through Microsoft's Azure cloud, Bloomberg reported, citing a person familiar with the matter. The report said Meta runs trillions of tokens a week through Azure and that its developers have used OpenAI models bought through Microsoft Foundry to assess Meta's own model output. Microsoft and Meta declined to comment, and the report did not disclose prices, models, contract terms, or a reporting period.
