AWS launches cited web answers for AgentCore agents

AWS launches cited web answers for AgentCore agents Image: Primary
AWS announced general availability of Web Answer on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, giving agents a managed tool that returns answers with source citations from current web searches. The service costs $10 per 1,000 tool calls. AWS says the tool plans searches, reads pages and synthesizes an answer through a single request to AgentCore Gateway. Administrators can restrict which domains it uses; agents can narrow those restrictions but cannot widen them. Unlike Web Search, which returns raw results for a customer's own model to process, Web Answer handles synthesis itself. Availability is limited to US East (N. Virginia), with an initial limit of 10 transactions per second per account.
