Xpeng commissions Iron humanoid production line
Image: Primary Xpeng has commissioned a production line for its Iron humanoid robot, the company said, with more than 80% of core processes automated.
The company said an assembled Iron unit walked off the line autonomously, marking a move from research-and-development prototypes to production-line manufacturing. Xpeng reiterated plans to start mass production by year-end, initially deploying robots at its own stores and campuses, before a planned 2027 launch and deliveries in China and overseas.
It did not disclose production capacity or pricing.
