Apple opens Siri app skills to third-party developers

Apple opens Siri app skills to third-party developers Image: Primary
Apple announced new Siri app skills that allow any app to build AI integrations, expanding beyond the smaller set of supported schemas in the first versions of Siri AI. The features are part of iOS 27.3, macOS 27.3 and aligned releases, which are now in developer beta. Developers can teach Siri how to coordinate multiple actions across apps, including finding content in one app and sending it through another. Siri can also use an active Live Activity to identify which app a request concerns, reducing the need for users to name the app explicitly.
