MKS expands manufacturing as semiconductor revenue rises 54%

MKS expands manufacturing as semiconductor revenue rises 54% Image: Primary
MKS is expanding manufacturing to meet demand, with chemistry equipment orders booked into 2028, the company said in its third-quarter earnings account. Semiconductor revenue rose 54% from a year earlier to $638 million, while total revenue increased 43% to $1.41 billion. Chief Executive John Lee said a leading foundry selected MKS's dissolved gas solutions for advanced logic manufacturing. MKS also displaced an incumbent supplier with a pulsed DC power application used in conductor etching. Lee declined to quantify that win. The company forecast fourth-quarter semiconductor revenue of $700 million, plus or minus $15 million.
